Battle of Dazar'alor

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

After 250~ attempts we only needed one good pull. On the final attempt of the evening we got it and finished a thoroughly enjoyable tier on a high.

Massive respect to everyone for putting in the effort and turning up with a positive attitude. A special thank you to Ceno for his first time raidleading and doing an excellent job!

20 pulls and we move on to the main event!

In true Hyped tradition the final pull of the evening results in a new boss kill. Mekkatorque falls after 61 pulls and we come out with a staggering rank 1 in execution for our first kill. Congratulations to Ralantos for getting the mount!

Opulence presented a significant step up in difficulty which required solid individual performance and good communication. Once we had a few tries with everyone alive going into the last phase the boss died fairly quickly.

Conclave had some interesting mechanics. We utilised the free totem resurrection from Shamans to soak 3 tank debuffs and various immunities to bounce the frog around outside the wind safe zone. Ultimately the boss was fairly easy providing we covered the dispels and timed the mechanics to avoid overlaps.

After a ridiculously close 30k wipe on Rastakhan we stride back in and take him down on the next pull. What could have been a really fun boss was trivialised by a few big brain strategies.

Wipe Count:

  • Rastaman - 13
  • Conclave - 25
  • Opulence - 63

Three bosses in three hours! A fantastic start to an enjoyable and seemingly short tier. Champions and Jadefire Masters posed little to no threat and went down rapidly. Grong was a fair challenge but ultimately fell once our strategy was ironed out and executed. Gold and glory await in the Halls of Opulence.

Wipe count:

  • Jadefire - 6
  • Grong - 19
  • Champions - 1

'We did it team!'.

A fairly challenging first tier for the guild with many players returning from long breaks, a decent amount of roster changes and some unforgiving bosses. With that said our overall performance and the atmosphere during raids has been fantastic and it's been a joy getting together for raids.

A special thanks to the officer team for all the work they put in, the 10 gamers that made it from the start of BfA till the end of the tier and especially all our new friends that joined us and enriched the guild.

Can't wait to see what we achieve in Battle of Dazar'alor!
